GENERAL INFORMATION....

Greater Esk Tourism Inc, has the following developments in progress:

  • A regional events program
  • Regional maps are being developed.  Drafts are complete and quotes are being applied for
  • Identification and recording of cultural, historic, recreational and environmental interest significant to the promotion of the region are underway
  • Working with Forestry and National Parks to develop and improve walking tracks
  • Support for the Fingal Railway Station restoration project and redevelopment of Valley Steam Train rides
  • Tourism Interpretation Centre at Avoca - planning for this project is underway

Some projects that we have completed so far are:

  • Tear Off Maps - these are located at various businesses within the Fingal Valley and surrounding areas
  • Beer Ticket Machine - This is located at the Union Hotel at Avoca
  • Successful in gaining $10,000 from the FRRR to go towards the Avoca Interpretation Centre
