PHOTO COMPETITION 2010.... This competition is

The Greater Esk Tourism Inc, are once again running a photo competition. The theme for this year is ‘People and Places in the Valley’.
We are looking for photographs to showcase this years theme. Finalists in the competition will be notified by e-mail or phone and the photographs will be printed and displayed at the Purple Possum in St Marys for judging.
Entries will be judged by Owen Hughes, Tasmania’s award winning master photographer and the Fellow of Australian Institute of Professional Photography.
Valleys of Adventure Photo Competition Send us your photos for the Valleys of Adventure Photo Competition.
· E-mail entries to: Louisa.rhodes@ecpc.com.au and include the following information: Name, phone number, e-mail address and a title for your photograph · Competition closes for entries on 28th February 2010 at 5pm. No late entries will be accepted · Competition will be judged by Master Photographer, Owen Hughes on the 20th March 2010 · Finalists will be displayed at Purple Possum in St Marys for 1 month in an Exhibition that is sponsored by Billy Bag Gift Shop and Stallards Camera House who are printing the finalists photos in an 8"x12" format for display · The winner will receive a $250 cash prize and a 12"x18" canvas print from Stallards Camera House

you’d like to show your support for a particular image, you can visit
the site and vote for your favourite images by click on the “Best of”
button on the right hand side, or by adding comments to an image or by
visiting the image multiple times, all of which encourage the image to
appear more prominently in Google Maps which should
· If you would like your photo to be positioned on the map in Panoramio (which will also allow it to appear in Google Maps and Google Earth), then you should visit the location where you took the photo on http://maps.google.com.au then zoom in and centre the map at that point. Click the "LINK" instructions in the top right corner and copy this link into your email when submitting your image.
· Please include your full contact details in the email when submitting your images, though only your first name will be publicly displayed.
Thank you also must go to Stallards Camera House in Launceston for printing the finalists photographs for the display and donating the 12"x18" Canvas Print..
Terms & Conditions · This competition is operated by the Greater Esk Tourism Inc, hereafter "GET". · You may only submit images that you have taken, or that you otherwise own the copyright for or where you have been given permission by the copyright owner. By submitting photos you warrant that you are the copyright owner or that you have the necessary permission from the copyright owner to use them for this purpose. · Limit of 3 images per person, though you may request an exemption to this limit if you feel you have a larger number of potentially winning entries. · GET reserves the right not to accept particular entries for any reason whatsoever. This decision will be final and not subject to review, nor will any correspondence be entered into. · By submitting your images you agree to allow GET to use the images for limited purposes including posting them on Panoramio.com subject to the terms and conditions of that site which may include displaying them on Google Maps and other locations online including www.valleysofadventure.com.au. You will still own the copyright in the images and may request their removal at any time. · The winner will be chosen by the GET committee in the first meeting after the closing date. The popularity of images (as measured by the hit counter on Panoramio will be considered as a factor when choosing the winner however the primary criterion will be the ability of the image to showcase the attractions of the region for potential visitors. · The final decision will be at the sole discretion of the committee and will not be subject to review nor will any correspondence be entered into. · Size of photos must be 1024x768 and no larger than 4MB in size.
